A plaque was unveiled today (Friday 17th March 2017) to celebrate the work of Mansell with the Shrewsbury Aberystwyth Rail Liaison Committee. Clare Williams unveiled the plaque during a service in Mansell’s memory lead by Rev David Hardy. Robert Robinson acted as host of ceremonies with Cllr Trevor Roberts giving a short speach and the Mayor of Welshpool Cllr Steve Kaye presented some flowers. Lizzie Moore from Welshpool welcome the guests as they arrived and gave out the service booklets. Thanks to Arriva Trains for the refreshments which followed in the waiting room on platform 3 where you will also find the plaque. A moving event for all.
