Cambrian Line Report to the Minister
Following the successful survey held in October which returned some 6,750 results the Minister in November 2013 asked the Liaison Committee to take an active part in an Implementation Group to deliver a report in February 2014 on an enhanced service provision.
The report was completed and delivered to the Minister on 7th February 2014 setting out a way forward with costings, timetables and details of how it could be achieved.
A meeting with the Minister takes place on 12th March after which a statement from her is expected with regard to a future timetable.
Main and Coast Lines to work together
The Shrewsbury to Aberystwyth Rail Liaison Committee is to have a formal working relationship with the Cambrian Coast Liaison Conference and details of how this would work are being worked out for approval at the next joint meeting to be held on Friday 9th May in Machynlleth.
